The three conditions for baptism at the Chinese Evangelical Church:
1. Attend the baptism class.
2. Write your salvation testimony.
3. Meet with an elder and obtain their approval.
The baptism class consists of two sessions: the first is about the Gospel, and the second is about baptism. Between the first and second sessions, you need to write a salvation testimony. Your testimony should answer three questions:
1. How do you realize that you are a sinner?
2. How do you believe that Jesus is your Savior?
3. What changes have occurred in you since you came to faith?
Your testimony should not exceed 700 words and should be less than 5 minutes. After attending the baptism class, an elder will interview you. The elder will listen to your story of how the Lord drew you to Him and ask why you want to be baptized. If the elder deems you ready for baptism, we will arrange for you to attend baptism. We offer baptisms four times a year, on the second Sunday of March, June, September, and December. Each person being baptized will briefly share their salvation testimony before baptism. If you wish to be baptized, please register for a baptism class.
